We have two types of abortion procedures that are done in our clinics. The type you get will probably depend almost entirely on how far you are along in your pregnancy.

If you’re in your first trimester, You will  likely have Medical procedure If you’re in your second trimester , You will likely have a Vacuum Aspiration

Surgical and medication  treatment is available up to 20 weeks gestation – according to your preference, medical needs, and how many weeks the pregnancy is.

Pain Free Safe Medical Abortion Procedures

Medication abortion also called the abortion Pills is a safe and effective way to end an early pregnancy. During your first visit, we will do an ultrasound to confirm the date of your pregnancy, go over the procedure and answer any questions, and offer non- judgemental and confidential support to help make your experience as comfortable as possible.

We will give you the first medication, mifepristone, to take before you leave our office. You will most likely feel fine after taking the first medication. 

In-clinic abortion

Abortion is a medical procedure that ends a pregnancy. In-clinic abortion procedures are safe and effective. In-clinic abortions are also called surgical abortions.

In-clinic abortion works by using Vacuum Aspiration to take a pregnancy out of your uterus. A tube is inserted into the womb through the cervix (the opening to the womb from the vagina), and the pregnancy is removed using suction.

The doctor may need to use special instruments to help remove the pregnancy, depending on how many weeks pregnant you are. There are a couple of kinds of in-clinic abortion procedures.

Our doctor will know which type is right for you, depending on how far you are into your pregnancy. Some people choose in-clinic abortion because they want to to have their procedure done at a health center. With the abortion pill, you have the abortion at home. Our medical staff can help you decide which kind of abortion is best for you.

 

After An Abortion

Caring for yourself after an abortion is important. Staff is available 24 hours a day to answer your questions or discuss concerns.

After an abortion, Women may be more prone to infection as it can take some time for the cervix to close. To reduce the risk of infection, women should avoid: using tampons until their next period  using sanitary pads for any bleeding.

Its not safe. having penetrative sex and putting anything in the vagina for 1–2 weeks. Immediately after your abortion, your body will begin to prepare for your next menstrual cycle. It is important to know that you can become pregnant at any time before your next period if you have unprotected intercourse. Please take this opportunity to discuss birth control with your partner. Your partner shares in the responsibility to avoid an unwanted pregnancy. 

  1. Drink water and healthy fluids.
  2. Eat healthy food.
  3. Get plenty of rest.
  4. Avoid strenuous exercise and lifting heavy objects for at least one week.
  5. Take any antibiotics you were given for the full number of days prescribe
